LMC Automotive European Light Vehicle Seminar
23 & 24 May 2012: London & Frankfurt
As Europe’s economy continues to struggle in the aftermath of the financial crisis, the sovereign debt crisis and wide-spread adoption of fiscal austerity measures, the light vehicle industry is facing a second major market volume challenge in three years, this time perhaps without the support of scrappage incentive schemes. Long-standing themes of over-capacity and pressure to reduce emissions must be seen in the context of weak markets and intense competition. Meanwhile, and in sharp contrast, other global automotive markets continue to gain ground.
The topics of the presentation will be:
- Introduction and Global Outlook
- Western Europe: Life in the Slow Lane
- Central and Eastern European Markets: How well can they Weather the Storm?
- European Production Outlook: An OEM Assessment
- Transformation in Europe’s Powertrain Sector: Slower than Expected?
- China Auto Market Outlook: A Road of Transitions
